Room 9 Snow Trip

The Room 9 Out and About boys headed up to Falls Creek for an overnight trip to the snow.  We stayed at Howman's Gap YMCA and went Tobogganing and snow walking, not to mention an awesome snowball fight (Cookie did cop one in the head!!!!!!!!).  Here are some of our photos from Falls Creek.

Ride On Mower Licence Training Begins

This week we have started our Ride On Mower training.  Students must be 15 years old to use the Ride on.  They will fulfil requirements in written work on safe and proper use of the ride on, they will complete 10 x half hour fully supervised sessions on the mower and pass a practical test on the mower then be issued with a Belvoir Ride On licence.  This week Jamie has also started work experience as a green keeper at the Commercial Club Golf Club in Albury, Jamie will attend the golf club on a weekly basis.

Room 9 gets ready for a new fence!!!

Today we had the heavy machinery come to the Room 9 yard.  The machines were preparing the yard for our new fence.  The new fence will make our yard bigger and more accessible for storing cars and car washing on a weekly basis.  Here are some pictures.  This has been posted, Jack, Jayden, Jordon, Matthew, Luke, Aaron and Shaun.

The boys have been very busy, bike riding, rock climbing, mowing, planting veggies and exploring the North East Area as wel as keeping Leneva under control.  Here are some recent photos of what the boys have been up to.

After some hard work on the block at Leneva the boys headed to Beechworth to have lunch.  We then went to Beechworth Mountain Bike Park.  The whole class rode the green cross country track in single file.  We had a few tumbles along the way with Christopher making a lasting impression on one of the sign posts!!!!  We think the sign post will survive!!!

Today students from room 4 along with Lou and Deb came to Leneva.  We planted the Veggie patch.  We cooked our lunch on the BBQ, we got really wet in the rain.  We went orienteering and we played lots of cooperative games.  A great day hope you like the pictures.

Hello everybody.  2012 has brought room 9 a new challenge, a whole new school site that has to be maintained and looked after.  We are going out to the old "Leneva State School" site which has not been used for some time.  The boys will be mowing, pruning, planting, building, playing, experimenting and trying to create an environmental centre for the rest of Belvoir to come and enjoy.
